Dear Readers,
It is 1:11 am on January 12, 2014 and this is my first entry of my first blog.
For a while now I have been encouraged to start a blog by my friends and family as a way of reaching out and connecting with people. I LOVED that idea. So? Here I am. I will try to post an entry on a different topic every week. I really hope you find my blog helpful and inspirational.
I am so excited to share my my insight and personal experiences on the common struggles people often have throughout their lifetimes. Some of these are:
- depression
- loneliness
- self esteem/finding self love
- acceptance
- grief and loss
- gratitude
- vulnerability.
These are all struggles that people undergo and are more common than you may think. The problem is that not enough people reach out to help one and other and are too caught up in the meaningless things in life.
I get it. Growing up in today's society could never be more difficult. What to wear, what to say, even what to think. Today's judgments are harsh and have made it very difficult to love or even accept who we are.
I want you to know that it does get better. It takes a lot of time, effort, and willpower. You will still have bad days... but you will also have good days, just as long as you keep in mind that no matter what... "Everything is going to be okay."
Thanks for reading.
At age 18 I was naive, unaware, self-centered, directionless and without passion. You are an inspiration because of all the the things I was not! Please
ReplyDeleteI love you mom!

DeleteHi Emily. I love the name of your blog! During one of the most difficult times in my life, I met with the priest at my church to talk. The first thing I noticed when I sat down was a small sign that said, "Everything is going to be OK". I have thought back to that moment many times over the years and it brings me much comfort. I look forward to reading your blog. ((hugs))
